We get a lot of emails and calls on Dynojet Power Vision tune licenses so we’ve put together some useful information on how each license option works and how to purchase a license from Fuel Moto. When purchased thru Fuel Moto you have the added benefit of our technical support and we will also provide a Fuel Moto fuel map for your application for no additional charge.
There are three option for licensing for Dynojet Power Vision PV-1B, PV-2B or PV-3B for Harley Davidson motorcycles.
- Tune License
- Dual License
- Unlock License
The Power Vision Tune License is the most popular option and is best suited to most users. The Tune License allows for an unlimited number of motorcycles to be added to your Power Vision to be tuned. Each motorcycle added to your Power Vision requires its own Tune License. You can add an unlimited amount of tune licenses to any Power Vision PV-1B or PV-2B, PV-3B Tune Licenses can also be used on any Dynojet Power Vision PV-1B, PV-2B, PV-3B device as long as you have the Tune License file, the Tune License is not device specific. Any motorcycle’s currently married to a Power Vision will retain all tuning capabilities, and once the Tune License is applied the Power Vision will automatically detect the vehicle when it is plugged in. The Power Vision Tune license requires a vehicle ECM read & the DiagnosticsHistory.txt file from the PV device from the bike you are generating the Tune License for. The Power Vision Dual Tune License allows a second H-D motorcycle to be tuned with a single Power Vision PV-1B, PV-2B, or PV3B. Only one Dual Tune license may be applied to a Power Vision device. This option is typically done at the time of purchase, it does not require any vehicle information from either of the vehicles. This is great options if you are purchasing a Power Vision PV-1B, PV2B or PV-3B to tune two bikes, you can simply plug in and flash them. To purchase from Fuel Moto CLICK HERE
The Power Vision Unlock License wipes the unit clean and remove all data currently on the Power Vision, once completed will allow the Power Vision to be paired with one new motorcycle. Any motorcycle(s) currently married to your Power Vision will lose all prior tuning capabilities. The Unlock License is device specific, you cannot apply a Power Vision unlock license to a different Power Vision device. To purchase from Fuel Moto CLICK HERE
NOTE: YOU CAN USE A LICENSE WITH ANY PV-1 or PV-2 DEVICE ON ANY YEAR BIKE THAT IS SUPPORTED. ALL YOU NEED IS THE CORRECT 4-PIN, 6-PIN, or Euro5/OBD CABLE FOR YOUR APPLICATION. CABLES CAN PURCHASED SEPARATELY
The first thing you want to do when you need a new license is to make sure your Power Vision PV-1 or PV-2 device us up to date. To do so you will start by downloading the Dynojet WinPv software here. Once downloaded you will connect your Power Vision via USB and open the PV Update Client from your computer using either “search” or File Explorer > C:\Program Files (x86)\Power Vision\PVupdateclient.exe and run each of the necessary updates for Software, Firmware, and Tune Database. NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE THE WINPV SOFTWARE OPEN AT THE SAME TIME.
Once your Power Vision is fully updated you are ready for a new license. You can now proceed to the Fuel Moto Tune License page and follow the individual instructions.
